Over the years, India has contributed countless gems to the sporting industry. While cricket is the country’s sporting religion, it also takes pride in producing some great athletes. In fact, many of these sporting legends have inspiring stories as they come from modest backgrounds without the resources and facilities to build successful careers.

The success stories of these influential men and women prove that willpower, perseverance, and determination can play the greatest role in a person’s success regardless of all odds against them. Here is a list of the top 10 inspirational Indian athletes.
